He backs up to Ike and Tina Turner as a duo. Of course there is some preclusion to non-band artists otherwise we have Chuck Berry.
But is that it? I could say Ozark Mountian Daredevils. Or maybe The Bottle Rockets? FPM, but if I remember, they are really IL boyz. Gravity Kiils? MDZ?

As an addendum, I'm in a band and we're possibly looking for a very good multi-instrumentalist for country music. Practice in DeSoto, MO. The band is generating capacity crowds of 200-300 in Jeffco. Covers and originals.

KJ Qualms
I don't think Jars Of Clay are from, or were formed in, Missouri. Where is he getting his information? His alleged source, AllMusic.com, even says they were formed in Illinois.Bunnygrunt, Dazzling Killmen, heck even the St. Lunatics are a better (and actually-correct) choice.

Kick me in the head...King's X
Killmen> def. Blake Fleming and Darin Gray were the nutz rhythm sec.Grand Ulena
King's X were from Springfield and were rated at #83 on VH1's top 100 hard rock acts. And at that they are probably underrated.
Puddle of Mud are from K.C. right?

And judging by his list, personal preference or not, he's too freakin' lame to know about Dazzling Killmen. Or Yowie. ahem.
